The Tessellated Moray Eel will grow extremely fast and it will not be fun to try to remove it once it has been introduced. Also they are downright nasty in a small aquarium so sticking your hand in the tank will be a dangerous affair.I know Eeels are fascinating but everyone I know that has tried one ends up with a huge headache and wishes they would have never added it.I have been biten by one of these and let me tell you it is not a pleasent experience. IMO if you are deadset on trying one I would pick a Snowflake or Chainlink.Tank looks great!

IME, SFE's get aggressive once they hit 18" - 20" or so...I've lost tankmates, and was bitten twice, once, the eel had to come out of the tank to bite me (I was working on the lighting above the tank).

I'd recommend a medium-bodied lionfish species over a volitans as it looks like you have an 18" wide tank.

Personally, I'm getting into the predator fish tank also.

Shadyzee, I have no clue if this is right or not, but I would say as long as the fish aren't very aggressive, are well feed, and have a plenty of space, I would say you would be fine.
