Hey, something fun. I am making plans to pick this up in the incoming week.

Being my first coral and all, I thought it would be fun to get opinions on where it might look best at.

    A, B, or C

when I frag xenia I just use a toothpick and zip tie to secure it to the rubble, I push the xenia against the rubble, then put a toothpick against the outside of the xenia, then ziptie around the entire contraption, can cut the ties away after a couple days

Doesn't matter where you put it, it will soon be all over your tank. ;-)

I would try location A. You seriously want to try to keep it contained to one rock. Adjust your powerheads so that the flow comes from right to left to keep it from growing to rock B and takng over your island. Also, make sure you keep them off your glass.

    Nice setup by the way.

I let my Xenia grow against the whole left side of my 125 gallon reef tank. It offers a nice alternative to just the plain glass where my refugium sits, plus fragging Xenia from the tank glass is so simple with a scrapper!

I strongly considered doing that... my inexperience told me to stick to traditional methods for now ;)

Anyone ever see a clown host one of these (or an anthelia)? Is it even possible?
