I know that some of you saw my Chop chop the crab. Thanks for helping me identify him as a shameface :) Ok I have a couple other ones in my tank that Ineed to identify. These came in on a piece of rock that got out of the ocean. They seem to be filter feeders. They have these retracting nets that they balloon out to catch particles in the water column. They also have MASSIVE claws. Their claws are so big that they have problems walking on flat surfaces. They tend to drag the claws around when walking on the sand.

I'll post a video when I get a chance to upload it.

Ditto, Porcelain crab! Perfect for reef tanks, as they are filter feeders!

yup its a caribbean porcelain, I had 4 of them once. Hard to keep becuase they are not like the other omnivore crabs, They feed ONLY by filter feeding. They are kinda hard to keep and are the only 100% reef safe crabs.
