Today I bought a clove polyps from lfs, because he told me its a good beginner coral. Are they easy to care for? Any tips on clove polyps?

I am using biocube stock lighting to keep them at the moment.

Very easy. Grow like weeds. Your biocube lighting should be fine for them.

Can I place my clove polyp on bottom of my tank? where sand beds are?
I got the medium size rock with bunch of clove polyp on it. Or do they have to be up more in the tank?

Wow, might want to ease up on the impulsive purchases. If you keep buying first and researching after your are going to run into problems sooner than later. Any basic info on any coral (or just about anything reef related) can be found with a quick use of this fourms search feature, or a google search.

They will survive anywhere really, like stated above they grow like weeds, esp if you spot feed them some coral freenzy.

They're like weeds. Pretty weeds. Grow anywhere. A toilet with table salt and ambient lighting would grow them :D

If they are blue clove polyps, they will grow on rocks, glass, powerheads, slow snails.....

Mkizla.....you might want to research before buying anything else. That being said, they are pretty good beginner corals. I have a 3" binder full of info on everything I have in my tank and I set it up and do the reading before I buy.
