90 Gallon Build Thread

Some of you might have read my other thread where I posted that I got some better quality gate valves.







I waited until my next water change/maintenance day to install them.

First a shot or two of the plumbing before:





And here's the new and improved plumbing:













I've had such a hard time finding these, that I bought the last 3 the hardware store had. I'm going to have to find one more for the return line. Then I'll be set!

 

Looking good! I really think gate valves are the way to go.

OK Sparky, why haven't you told me about your thread? I thought we were buds......;D I'm j/k You tank is VERY Pretty! I love the purple stuff(I don't know what it's called)! I'm sorry I didn't look here sooner, maybe I did, way back, I don't remember.

If your going to DIY, you might want to lookup Durso Standpipes for your drains. Should be easy to make yourself if you've got the diagram. Deelbeck and Sprung v.3 talks shows how. I'm sure there are other sources as well.
