What gallon sized tank would be 6' long, I know there must be a good many, but in general? My son's boss has a tank, that's been sitting in his garage since he got it. Not sure what it was used for before he got it, probably salt. He says it comes withe the sand in it and and it's a drilled tank, so it's got to be pretty big. He says the lights come with it and "they're good ones"(not hood). Apparently this guy has no idea about tanks, so when I get home, I'm gonna take a ride to go see it. He wants 250 for it. I'm sure I can get him lower, but how much remains to be seen. I guess it would also help to know, how bad this guy wants it out of his garage. Oh yeah it comes with a wooden cabinet. Made for it. whacha'll think? Worth a look?

really common 6' tank is the 125 long, I'd love one of those but the wife would kill me, buddy of mine has one for sale for 2k but it's got an ASM G3 skimmer and a nice calc reactor setup, the sump and fuge add another 50g to the system volume on it 8)

my son measured it and actually though he was going to remember the dimensions by the time he got home and got to call me LOL he's so much like his momma  scarey

so what ever it might be 250 is a good price? should I make the guy fill it with water to see if it leaks?

Oh and My hubby won't be pleased either, but that govt. "refund" check.........My half is mine and his half is his!

All depends on the condition, but try to offer $200. The worst that can happen is he says no. You lose nothing. Luna

Gotcha Luna. I'm gonna tell the guy, ok look.. you can't fill this tank in 10 min, so if it leaks I'll expect you to give me my money back. Gonna get that in writing.

Heck, lights alone could be worth the $.

    Definitely worth a look.

Is way worth it if tank is in good condition.

No telling what people will give away...:-/

The 125gal I just bought is 6 feet long. I know 180gals can be 6 feet too but they're a bit wider (and usually bowfront) than a 125. My 125 is 18 inches wide.

Anyways I paid $300 for the tank and stand - NON drilled! I think you have a good deal on your hands....You should probably go for it! C'mon Cuttin', join the 100+ gallon club with me!!! :)
