Canada's Salt Water Connection makes impressive protein skimmers that few of us down in the USA even know about. That should change. These are high-quality skimmers with Sicce pumps that we can actually buy unlike some of the Japanese products we have been displaying lately. 3reef recently got up close to their SWC XTREME Hang On Tank model and it has to be the beefiest HOB skimmer we have seen. And the SWC XTREME Cone Protein Skimmer Mini S is a beautiful seamless cone skimmer reasonably priced at $379. Time to look up north, eh?

I bought one of the extreme mini's for my 150G, so far it seems to be working well (very heavy bioload: 2 mollies ;)). Picked it up for about 350, really nice construction.

Cool. 8) Glad to hear it. Any chance you can post some pics of it? Their Web site pics are a bit blurry on that one I think.

Hummmm Never heard of them before. There was a SWC in Winnipeg a couple of years ago as a retail store. I suspect they have gone web based only. Funny that there isn't a lot of market penetration within Canada

I have a SWC xtreme 160 skimmer - works great with the pinwheel that it comes with. They also include a mesh wheel mod, but I find it temperamental, and has difficulty re-starting after a power failure. The pinwheel has no such difficulty. Anyway, good product at a very reasonable cost.
