Fluval E Series Advanced Aquarium Heaters

These new Fluval E Series Advanced Aquarium Heaters have some nice features such as realtime digital temp reading and two monitor alerts that you can set that will give you more piece of mind. I had a tank overheat from a bad heater, so these features are nice to have integrated into your heater. If you have one, please post your feedback.

Just under $50 for the 50 watt and $54 for the 300 watt.

Just order my Fluval E Series 300W version! On sale now, paid $43.99 It's on BO, but expected in stock 3/03/09. I'll let everyone know how it is...

This would be an easy diy heater protector. It looks like you could take any glass heater, and take a 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" diameter pvc pipe and cut slots in it and cap the end to make the protective case for the heater, and silicon the heater into it for a quick diy project. The digital temp readout is nice to have on the Fluval heater though.
