Another 3reef exclusive sneak peak - some beta test pics from overseas of the upcoming EcoBright LED light fixture by Royal Aquarium! They are currently testing 1 watt LEDs on the 2' fixture. We were told the 1 watt LED lamps with produce close to 80% of the brightness of the 3 watt LEDs but with more than 60% less heat! Stay tuned for more info...

I understand some of the pro's but I heard they don't compare to T5-T12 or Metal Halide when it comes to what your coral needs from the light. Here they are with a picture of the LEDs over coral saying it can support coral life and growth and with way less heat and alot more hours of life.
    Is there a replacment LED?
    What is the bulb life?
Is it a good replacement for T5s and Metal Halides?????
