Temorary holding tank..

I will be trilling my 29g tank this week. But right now I have a fish in it. My plan is to move the fish & rocks into a 10g tank, just until I have the DT drilled for a sump. I will be using the sump(10g) as a temporary holding tank to hold my coral beauty just until I can pu the sand rocks, & her back into the DT. The 10g tank will go in my bedroom for now.

My question is about lighting. I do not have a light small enough for a 10g tank. I do have the light for my fuge, though, which is not set up yet. It is a 6500K spiral CF. Is this ok to use for lighting?

I will run a HOB power filter & one of my Koralia 425's in there for flow/surface agitation.

 

Part of the reason I am asking about lighting is because I am not sure how long I will have the DT down. Maybe a week. I want to paint the inside of the stand, cut out an opening on the left & then skin it with bead-board & trim.

 

The lighting should be fine for a holding tank.

I have done a complete blackout on my tank for 4 days to fight a nasty dino outbreak with no ill effects to corals what so ever.

For fish you should see no problems, excellent planning BTW.
