Where do you store your RO/DI water? I currently store it in a 40 gallon plastic trash can....

I use a gray Brute trash can. The gray, red, and yellow Brutes are all food safe.

I have an RO/DI coming from Air, water, and ice, shipped today. Does it have to be a dark container with a lid?

It's better if it is. The dark container will keep algae from growing and the lid will help keep the water clean.

    Store salt and ROI run

Same here. I actually have 2. One for RO/DI One for saltwater. That way I'm always ready for a water change. I put them right next to each other so its easy to transfer RO to the salt mixing Brute. I run a UV on each can circulating the water through the UV. My top off is connected to the RO/DI. I also run an air stone in each. I have another pump in the saltwater can that I have connected to the tank to replace saltwater for changes.8) no lifting buckets.;D

    Here are some pics.

Here's my storage and mixing setup. The upper brute holds RO/DI. There are two valves coming out of it; one gos to a piece of 1" flex for filling buckets and the other into the salt mixing/storage tank below. I used 1" bulkheads so it only takes about 8 seconds to fill a 5 gallon bucket.
