Yellow polyps (parazoanthus) get less of their daily Carbon budget from DOM, POM, and photosynthesis. Occasionally target feeding will up their growth substantially.

Target feed brine or mysis shrimp...I have had great luck with it!
I tell you it is amazing how certain corals grow quicker than others. Also equally as amazing is the fact that certain zoos will grow quicker than others in the same place within the confines of my tank.
In just three weeks my RPE's have grown from 2 polyps to six now!
    Wewll good luck OMARD

No. Tom is correct. VERY FEW corals directly digest phytoplankton. They will eat bacterioplankton and zooplankton that feed off of phyto but most won't directly utilize phyto. I.e. target feeding with phyto is not useful at all. (Most of the few corals that will directly utilize phyto are non-photosynthetic corals).

Ok...am going to quit using that stuff. Most of it winds up clogging up my filter bags anyway. My single small chili is going to have to learn to eat what rest of corals do, sans light.
