It's for a Evolve 8, about 6.6 gallons in the viewable area. I plan to grow everything.

I'm leaning towards the Nano since I already run a AI Sol Blue on my Solana 34g and have the controller.

The Zetlight is compelling though and I'm wondering maybe if the AI Nano is overkill for my small tank. It's 300% the cost.

I wish there were some more direct experiences people can share. I've only read reports of possible growth although some not so great coloration.

DIY LED, get a 12 inch makersled heatsink, and run 2 3UP's and 1-2 violets, if you want full spectrum add 1 OCW too. Put them on a dimmer though.

I would go diy also. Make the light color you want. Also you can buy led controllers for pretty cheap. All said and done your still looking at saving a lot of money.
