I have a 28 gallon bow front aquarium that I may be interested in adding this light but my concern is that I have a 3/8" plastic lip around the aquarium and I was wondering if this light would be able to fit over the lip. The aquarium is 24" wide so I am figuring that I would need 2 lights in order to light the aquarium. I have orange mushroom corals and pulsing Xenia and was wondering that if this light could fit if it would be enough light for my coral or should I look for a different lighting system.

    Thanks

I personally don't think it will be enough, I'm trying to convince my other half to allow another tank in the apartment just to test the new light.

IIRC the spectrum on these isn't very good, although I can't remember....

You might be right, I can't even light my sump with this light. :-/

I get better performance from 60watt CFL.

What a shame. :p Wasn't there some issue with settings earlier. Has that been resolved? Just trying to rule out a dud situation here Chris. Definitely the worst of the litter so far.

I think it's working properly, after the holiday season when I'm off 6 days a week I'll hopefully be able to setup a 3 gallon pico and test it out.

Here it is at 100% above my fuge

The little 3 bulb pico light looks alot brighter than that. it lights up my whole sump area. I'm really excited about it.

Definitely losing lumens there. From the pic it looks like their mini-light is brighter. Well I look forward to your tests all the same. If you have specific questions on it and I can forward to the rep. FYI
