YSP Fragged.

    I have a rock with YSPs and Button Polyps. The problem was that the Buttons seemed to have taken over. The YSPs were not growing. So I decided to interrupt Sunday Football with a little Fragging. I pretty much peeled ALL the YSPs off the rock and relocated them onto three different rocks. This is what they look like:

    Before - This picture was from June. The YSPs were down to about a third of this quantity today.

    In this pic the YSPs are the bottom purple mat. The top purple is Coraline.

    The third rack only has 3 small reminants and I did not take a picture.

    great job.....they will usually reopen fairly quickly.

    star polyps are very hardy so no worrys, nice job and good solution to the problem

    Thanks. I figured if I did nothing they would die anyway. Perfect time to try to Frag YSPs. :beer:

    It has been a week and none have opened yet. I hope I glued the right side down :eek:

    Try brushing them off with a soft brush under a powerhead. They may have cuaght some debris

    it doesnt look like there are any polyps left...:( i hope thats not true but i wouldnt count on them comming back.

    all i ever did with em were rubberbanded them down...no glue.
