the scale of this thing is immense.

 

That's huge!!! Poor house. Poor family too.

BUT, I think that should be turned into a pond and stocked with fish. I see all sorts of awesome cover fish would hide in. Great features

 

Surely that had some sort of foundation settlement issued before it sunk.

 

It definitely makes you wonder what was going on underneath for all that time, hidden aquifers, a fault line, the whole area perhaps being a swamp way back when, etc....

but that is one massive sinkhole. how terrifying that must have been for the poor family.

 

Yikes! That first picture doesn't even do the size justice; look at the third.

 

agreed.....that is what amazed me - you just don't realize how much was involved until it zooms out.
