I would try and Glue Xenia. the slim coating will just slime off the glue and you will go nuts. If it's a rock to rock gluing you can use a gel super glue, or your LFS prob sell a 2 part epoxy

With water movement and currents, I wouldn't trust it to just stay put. I've used super glue on mushrooms before and have had very good luck. I know there are so many different brands out ther. This one was called "plastic surgury". I'm sure any of them would work.

I don't think glue or epoxy would work very well with xenia, just try a rubber band, I know that works :)

Just use a rubber band to attach the xenia to a piece of rock. The xenia will attach itself quite quickly at the contact point

You put the rubber band around a piece of small rock. Then slip the xenia in between the rubber band and the rock. After the xenia 'takes' to the small rock you can then use some epoxy to bond the small rock to a bigger rock if thats what you want to do.

You can replace the rubber band with whatever other device you want ( some suggest wedding veil )

Anyway here is a link that should help you
