test the water for alk and cal and what kind of lights are you using and where is the xenia placed
i find it likes the dlk on the alk to be 8-12 and the ca near 400
my xenia always pulses faster or stronger when it is closer to the light

I have a 125gal with 14000k 175 watt halides. I add iodine once a week the calcium is good every thing else is doing great. Pipe organ is growing!! elegance, torch, frogspawn, bubble, leathers and brain are loving life.Flower pot not so good but i have never kept one for over 8 months with out problems. My xenia were long and spreading like wild fire but have all gone down hill, even the ones on separate rocks in a different part of the tank. I have some set high and some set mid level in the tank.

well, xenia is just like that some times...right now my xenia (pink, not red sea) are going through a stage where they almost look dying...but after a week or 2 they come back :) i wouldnt worry too much...unless they start to melt that is...xenia are pretty hardy little corals

I like Iodide for xenias. I use Kent Coral Excell and have had good results with it and keeping my corals happy and growing. Anyone else use it?

Just last week I added a small xenia frag to my tank that was mauled by my largest hermit crab the first night. However, the frag has made almost a full come back only half the size:-/ .

The GARF website has a lot of good info on xenia care if you have not checked it out.

I dose seachem iodide and use the salifert test kit.

Let us know how it goes.

    How old is this tank?
What are the levels and what are you adding?
Do you test for everything that you add?
