    Anyone got experience using check valves inline after pump. I am mostly concerned with the loss of pressure by using one. That and the fact they are danged expensive.

    My old tank was drilled and had the return coming through the bottom and came up about half way in the tank, so it need a check valve.

    In the 3 or more years I had that tank, it never failed even without any cleaning and dosing kalk. I didn't notice much pressure loss, but to be honest, I never had it going without it so hard to judge.

    The kind I had wasn't a Wye though, it was just a straight cylinder. I can try to dig it up if you like.

    Any of this help? ::)

    Thanks for joining!

    Hmm...Champion sells a good quality Wye but I have also used the ones from HD before. I need a one inch version though and if I remember correctly, hd only had like 1-1/2.
