    help, when i bought this frag i thought it was just a part of the rock that the coral did not cover. until i saw it move any idea what it is, it is brown and it is a circle.

    the coral is not white in person just my camera stinks:(

    I cannot tell what it is because the picture is so out of focus. It appears you are asking about the dark spot? I'm assuming it is on a frag, on a disk, on a rock? Sorry, trying to get a sense of scale.

    Could you please get another photo of it so we can get a good ID for you?

    it could be algae build up. Maybe you should increase the flow towards the monti. ( sometimes rough handling kills that part of the coral and algae builds up on the dead spot.)
    I cant really tell from the picture, just my best guess..

    How long has your tank been up and running? looks like you got some diatoms, and green algae? my vote is for diatoms, but i cant be sure b/c the pic isnt the greatest.

    when i bought it i had that thing on, i thought it was just a piece of the rock the thing was on, also i kind of looks like a polyp
