Wrasse is spitting out sand

    my new Melanurus Wrasse keeps on picking up a mouthfull sand and spitting it out, is this normal for this breed or most wrasses, ive noticed my McCoskers doesnt do it.

    Rex does that sometimes when he is eating something off the sand. He just gets some sand with the grub, so then he spits the sand out.

    how cute lol ive noticed that Wrascal does this throughout the day even when there is food, makes me wonder if i have any copepods in the sand, i know he doesnt go after the inverts but he does this all day, along with poking at the rocks lol

    is rex still fighitng "the other wrasse"

    my radient wrasse does it a lot, on previous set up I had a juvi coris that did it a lot
    and a Banana wrasse that did it every so often

    they hunt for live creatures in the sand bed

    Haha whenever he swims by the back wall he attacks the "other wrasse." He's a dork.

    hahahaha lol he would hate my tank lol my window tint background gives off a big reflection of everything he would probably fight himself to death in my tank lol hopefully he's not going to be aggressive to other wrasses

    I hope not!! He's worrying me because I want to get a flame wrasse. I'm going to put other fish in first though, I think.

    ok its weird how he's acting kind of aggresive towards himself their known to be peacful hopefully he will be ok :D

    my tang eats sand... and it has also become accustomed to eating cyano bacteria, since ive been waiting for my new lights to come in since NOVEMBER
