WP-25 question

What mode do people keep this at?? I'm not sure what to set it.

 

I have found else mode to be best for me,it seems to create the most random flow.My second choice would be W1 and set at 75%,this created a back and forth wave motion.I also use a Koralia evo750 on the other end of the tank.You just have to play around with it,every tank and different aquascape is different.Is the new tank set up?

I have the 40 and keep it w1 @100%
but you adjust the power with speed button, first light is the highest power

 

Yes,it's the green speed/mode button on the controller.It only works in W1 mode,settting is indicated by the blue led.The round dial controls the wave duration in W1 and W2 as well as the duration of each speed setting in H1and H2.Else mode is totally random and cannot be controlled.Sounds a little confusing.I know,so many options,just play around with it and you'll catch on quickly.

 

I keep my 2 WP-40s on Else mode as well.

 

Where are people placing these powerheads in the tank and how are they pointed?

I use W1 and have an LED dimmer attached to it to ramp down power to its lowest possible setting. It's in my 20 gallon.

 

I have mine pointed straight across the length of the tank with a evo750 on the opposite end pointed slightly upward and toward the front glass.Tank is a 40b mixed reef.
