Im part of both forums, reef central and 3reef.. I actually got to say that when i first started the hobby, reef central was the first forum i found and it was very helpfull.
however, in a forum that is so big it takes forever to get a response, and sometimes the response you get you could have gotten by simply going on google.

Reef central has good information, but it feels like no one really cares... its hard to explain.. Um. kinda like you go there, you get your info, and you leave.

However, here at 3reef however i get this " family" feeling. I feel that i know everyone and that everyone sees you like a friend... ( or at least the ones that are online most of the time lol).. The responses are quick, and very resourseful. People actually take their time to help you out. Im a 3reefer all the way.

P.S.. did i mention that in 3reef, we actually know people by their name * some of them* while at reef central you never really see the same person that helped you twice? at least in my case...

well let me put my 2 cents on the table. RC host the closest group to me here in NY so i joined well that was a huge mistake they welcome you but then when you put information thats relevent to the area and they don't like you are an automatic outcast. So i went once there and i was done. I am a 3 reefer for life and will always be. This is my Salt water family here.

I belong to several and 3reef has the best community and support. I hardly visit any of the other forums any more.

+1 this is good forum large enough for a good amount of knowledge and small enough to not get to corprate.
