    The DI Cartridges are horizonally oriented meaning that when they break down they will actually leach TDS back into your water leaving it less pure than when it passed through the RO membrane alone. I would recommend straying away from a unit that uses DI membranes in this manner. Im sure AZ will chime back in saying the same. The Spectrapure really is the best bang for your buck.

    i don't have mine set up auto to the tank

    i monitor my tank daily and use the ro/di accordingly so i don't worry about anything like that....never had an issue
    if everything is automated where's the hobby in that ???
    hahahahaha

    I just got one about a month ago, it's solid. Look in the Spectrapure forum. They're very responsive and helpful. You won't regret the decision.

    On the site, it says that the unit might have minor cosmetic imperfections. Does that mean it will have scratches? Also, how long does it take to ship?
