    oh my lfs has like every fixture imagineable, except of course led's just my luck lol.

    damn bro that sucks. Im not sure what to tell ya. i personally wouldnt go t5 on a 5 gallon only because there are many led bulbs that can screw in basic lamp fixtures that will 1. last you WAY longer. 2. look better. 3. only 1 would be plenty. ask them to keep there eye out for a customer who has one or if they can help you out (explain your situation) idk if theyd help you but its worth a try.

    I'm not sure what you can grow with a 2 bulb T5 fixture... SPS maybe near the top, but I wouldnt count on clams or any SPS near the bottom...

    lmao. Definitely been there. I never had to worry about lamps showing up at the door, the parents didn't mind those. Lol.

    Those are no good from what I have seen. Sure they are bright, but they don't have proper heat management and I've seen them melt their own casing :eek:
    Perhaps just an isolated problem?
    I also know many who love them.

    Another idea if your parents are worried about these sites. Why not purchase a prepaid credit card to do the order.

    Or will your Lfs not make an order for you?
