would these lights work well for my 125?

    Way cool, Thanks.

Posts like this is how I found my SC150 skimmer, which was $95 shipped to my door, brand new, etc. It works awesome on my 125 w/ 50g sump. (It's in my sig vid.)

I completely agree with them being more of a temporary solution. I had intended on building my own fixture, but don't have the time. I would eventually like something that is dimmable, but for now, these LED's perform as well as my TEK fixture. The color is very good, the blue is impressive, and the power savings is a help. Noisy fans are definitely a minus.

The left and right side of my tank are NPS and very low light corals, so I only went with two fixtures. I only had the one 36" TEK centered over the tank before.

New Guy, Which brand did you use? Two are doing well on your 125, right?

OK, I searched Ebay, I didn't see this company listed. I did see several options however.

So if you had a 125Long, would two of these lights suffice?

I mentioned previously that I haven't owned these. Just pointing out that they are A very reasonable priced option that people seem to be having good luck with. There are several brands but they are the same unit. I believe taotronics is one of the common ones. I believe 2 would be ok on a 125. Some of the people using them are using 2 on a 6' tank. You could always start with 2 and get a 3rd if you want.

Thanks newguy for the advice. I'm still thinking about getting 36in T5's for my tank now, and ditching the PC's I'm using now.

But, the LEDs seem to be the way to go.

This may be what I do as well. I'm hoping 2 to start would work reasonably well and possibly build from there. Thanks for the lead on the Ebay ones.
