I just spotted this thing surfing across my glass this afternoon. I have no clue what it is or where it would have come from.

ANybody know what this might be?

I'm pretty sure thats a nudibranch. I would take it out if you can.

Did you purchase any new corals lately?

Just a digitata that I also had to get an ID for. I didn't spot anything on that coral when I first purchased it unless they just grow substantially fast. I also got some cerith snails recently too.

What kind of nudi is it you think?

Ok...I got about 30 ceriths from my Florida trip but didn't notice anything like this. I added the snails about 3 weeks ago into the aquarium....was this a mistake maybe??

prob came on the Digita, which would likely be it's food source.

looked like a Berghia Nudibranch from what I could find on google. They indicated that they only eat apistia but now that you mentioned the digita being its source, I noticed a long dead spot on the bottom of the coral that I am guessing could possibly have been where it's been eating.

Do I need to worry about eggs or other of these?

Yeah, you need to try to check for eggs, and attempt to remove them if you find any. Looks like it might be a Phyllodesmium species, they feed on soft corals.

    Cheers,
