I was inspecting the 90 today (is there really anything else TO do?) and found this nasty looking thing protruding from the sand. First thought was majano that had bleached a little but on closer inspection it appears to be the jaws (???) of some nasty predatory critter. I tried to grab them with my planting tongs but they disappeared and sifting the sand revealed nothing.

Might be some type of nudibranch.

Definitely not a nudi. It's pretty much stationary and sticks out of the sand.

Looks like it could have jaws. It came back after I sifted through the sand. Almost in the same spot so I'm thinking it's a sickly majano.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks like a nasty little majano to me. I get the exact same thing, I scope then out with a teaspoon.

Disclaimer: I claim no responsibility if you kill the little bugger, if it turns out to be majano. I would take an image but camera acting up.

    :)

Majano or aiptasia. What ever it was fried on my zapper and stuck. ;D Wasn't a predatory worm.
