Woke up to ich!

Inverts don't get Ich, but they can carry it on their surfaces. Any such surface can carry it.

 

yeah, i was responding to swissmiss that said shrimp carry ich, so how does leaving a tank fallow get rid of ich? It may "carry" it, but it needs a fish to reproduce, is my understanding!

 

Are we all getting confused by the word carry? I mean it as, they can physically carry it on their shell (if it were a shrimp, say). It that regard, your statement of inverts don't carry Ich would be incorrect. That's why I was responding to your quote.

To clarify what I'm saying...

Inverts can carry it ON them for the duration of the encystment stage.
But inverts cannot be afflicted by Ich at any point in the game.
