IMO that looks really good. You may out grow the skimmer but I'm sure it will do for now.

Looks really good, but is it really worth $237?? Its a generic skimmer, and IMO can be made at home for alot less...but I'm guessing...

I plan on getting a free 10-20 gal aquarium and making my a Refugium.

may be easier buying one though :)

but please let us know how you like it if you get it!!!

    GL!!

But it's good for us newbies who don't know how to build one yet. We can read all the post we want and look at lots of pics but still only get a vague idea of how to make one. I don't know about anyone else but every time I try to make something, I can picture it perfectly i my head, draw it out, measure everything, and it never turns out how I want it. [smiley=confused1.gif] I think it's a great deal, especially since it includes the skimmer and the pump. Pumps tend to be expensive , unless you experiment w/ a brand you've never heard of. Personally I'm all for it. When I become more experienced I'll dabble at DIY projects... I'm just not that confidant yet ;)

I think it looks good, but some things to consider

What brand pump is it? Can a replacement pump fit in the chamber?

I don't think you really need T-5's on a fuge....

Did you consider the cost of mud to fill it? Mud not included and is very pricey.

You will also need the overflow box which is another eighty bucks probably.

Just check out all your options and the total of what all you will need to run this one before you decide... ;D

Well I already have an overflow built in. I'm kinda new to this saltwater stuff, and just want what is best in the long run.
