No PC lighting does not have the PAR needed to keep SPS. I understand the tank is ver shallow but your better off going with T5, LED or MH

Thats a pretty cool little frag tank. That would be a neat DIY build.

I have grown some mont's, not very fast, but they were in the tank for about a month and i saw some growth on it...But honestly, PC's dont bring out color like most lights do, but as you can see in that pic that it definitely looks good! But IMO and having PC's and now comparing them to T5HO's, I would highly recommend going and buying a T5HO unit.

Since you have a very shallow tank, your not going to need MH or LED's. T5HO's are going to bring out some good color's and also have good growth.

As it has been said some Monti's will do ok as long as they are kept high, I also had some birds nests and a couple of pocillopora corals in a tank that had just had PS's on it. But you would do much better if you got T5's of, I cannot belive I am saying this, metal halides.

What T5 fixture fits this 20" tank? I do not want to do a pendent!
