Hey guys, today I had to dismantle my tank. (not entirely, just for a new more fitting aquascape).

I thought I had it down when it came to scaping, but I was not expecting this toadstool to reach such a ridiculous size. It's bigger than 2 basketballs.
( this is something the Ga aquarium might be interested on. I kid you not).

Ive been struggling with keeping any coral in my tank... I thought that maybe it's the sheer size of this thing that it might be giving the war to other coral that attempt to survive by releasing something into the water.

This is a picture of the toadstool. Keep in mind this is a 150G tank.. It touches front back and sides and it if had the space it would expand SOO much more, It's essentially sitting on the substrate and its not even open since i angered it while moving it around...

How big will this thing get? IM afraid it's going to outgrow this tank if it hasnt already. I don't think i can give it more space lol

If you ever decide to dive into your tank you will have a nice underwater seat.

lol I can't help it... this thing has no stop to it.. It makes it difficult to move it, its SO heavy. I decided to re-do my scape. Placed it on the middle. Hopefully it looks great in the morning lol.

    Ill post pictures tomorrow.

BUT... I was wondering. With a toadstool this big, how much carbon should I be running to help out coral warfare. I do hope to have more than a toadstool and a few kenya trees in the tank

Indeed.. it's nice and soft too. I might not want to get out of the water.

I'm sure it could affect SPS, probably LPS too. Run a bunch of carbon and see what happens to a few cheap frags IMO.

It looks like it's stuck in a flower pot.

when my Devils hands was getting 'out of hand'- I would cut it into thirds- as frags and trade things for it, usually it was beer for me, or just gave it away.
    It's similar to your toadstool.
Each time I would cut I large segment off, it would stunt it's growth for awhile.

I still have it, I moved it way up between my lights, and it seems to be growing slower.

Before I fragged it, it was about a Volleyball, now slightly bigger than a softball and I haven't cut it in awhile.

    Just some ideas for ya
