yesterday i said for my saltwater tank setup 180 litres i will add 155 litres of conditioned tap water and 25 litres of ro water.

but now ive decided to add 80 litres of conditioned tap water and 100 litres of ro water

    is this better?

and when the tank has cycled i will do a 50% water change using ro water

THe more RO water you can use the better, ideally you should use 100% RO to prevent algae issues and possible heavy metal contamination but if you can't then use as little of tap water as possible, unless you know your tap water is up to par.

It shoule be 100% RO/DI if at all possible. I would put off setting it up if that is not possible. Start it out right from the beginning and you never have that nagging doubt in the back of your mind.
