Put a cleaner shrimp in your tank. Mine will jump on my hand while working on tank and start cleaning it. Fish will readily accept a good cleaning.

But will a cleaner shrimp do anything about ich or is it just for overall health of the fish?

Yes, very effective with ich. I had a Tang that came with a suitcase full of ich! I put him in with the cleaner shrimp and fed with garlic and he was better in no time! These guys really helped me through it!

check out my cleaner hard at work.

I tried to get a pic of the cleaner going to work on the inside of my goby's mouth but couldnt. The goby sat there with mouth wide open waiting for service, pretty cool to watch

That's a beautiful goby you have there and a diligent cleaner as well. My cleaner never did crap, then got ate by my sally. I'm debating whether or not to get another. lol

I can speak from experience on this topic. Its much easier to use a natural solution(skunk cleaner) then the solutions that the LFS will sell you. I had my fair share of ich and after I got my skunk cleaners I havent had any problems. I think alot of things with saltwater tanks is this way.
