Why does southern food smell bad?

Ugh so gross!! My friend's grandpa (who is Southern) does that and leaves it out in a mug all day. But his doesn't come from bacon, it comes from fried bologna.

 

you show your cooking prowess when you compare bologna grease with bacon grease, haha

 

Well I know nothing about grease, lard or meat! And I don't care who knows it!

so it turns out the "bad" smell is the fish. Both he and my sister said it was really strong, so i guess he added more water, he had it in the fridge for a while and now is warming it up again, and it smells fishy again, hope that goes away.

i wanted to go to Baton Rouge but wasnt in LA long enough to make the trip over, just stayed in Lafaytee and Crowley

 

When I cook bacon, I normally scramble eggs in the bacon residue left in the skillet. I pour out most of the grease...but I still leave some behind for the eggs. It's my favorite breakfast.

If southern foods sits heavy in people...I'm going to hate eating up north or out west haha. I'll probably lose weight eating

And I love messing with some yankees It's all in good fun. And I can fake being a yankee if I want to, because I don't have a southern accent

 

Haha you might definitely have a hard time out west. We tend to eat pretty healthy over here!

Wherever I go outside of CA, people know I'm from CA from my "surfer accent." I mean, yes I surf just about every day, but I don't think that would make me some stereotypical "cowabunga, radical, bodacious" kind of guy. Ah well, I own up to my residency 8)
