lol my sister's boyfriend got up at 7am this morning to to cook whatever were going to have for dinner. And i smelt it as soon as i woke up and it reaked! it smelt like something was burning. Its horrible i feel like i want to gag! Looks like its some kind of sauce, it's orangish. My sister's boyfriend is from the Louisiana so its some type of louisiana food i guess i forget the name. But it smells horrible! can't wait until i leave for work here in a few minutes! I just hope it tastes better than it smells

Just tell me southerners why does your food smell so bad :D

sounds about right, because i know it not gumbo because my sister cant eat it while knocked up. But i have had home made gumbo when i visited them in louisiana and that stuff was good, same with crawfish, loved the crawfish, but this stuff just reakes.

Probably the same reason that northern meat tastes metalic-y or the same reason the northern vegetables lack taste...or the same reason northern air feels thick and is harder to tolerate.

    uh oh....

Are you sure that he didn't just actually burn it?
Did he disclose any of the ingredients?

(i am considered a Yankee so I cannot answer the smell question although I have never run across "bad-smelling" Southern Food.)

lol i don't think he's actually burning it, it didnt look burned or anythig but it must be from the sauce or ingrediants i did see a big thing of salt though, maybe im just not useed to it.

Well i got to go to work, at least i will be at work for a couple of hours to escape the smell :D
