why do my fish die?

    haha not insulted obviously i don't know a lot about some of the stuff involving aquariums. i do use water straight from our house but i add conditioner that is supposed to get rid of chlorine and other things like heavy metals.

    There can be a lot more than bacteria on LR... these hitchhikers could be good or bad, depending on which ones find their way into your tank.

    This is a decent point, just wondering though... wouldn't it likely have copper in it as well? Thus killing the shrimp?

    maybe you guys didn't see this up top there but i think the condition is supposed to make the water safe to add into my tank.

    I use tap water too with the conditioner. I see no ill effects, so far. I won't drink our city water, but heck my reef loves it. ha I barely have any algae.

    i went to that site and don't see a place that sells live rock on that site. maybe i am just looking in the wrong place.
