why do anemone split?

    No more than weekly imo, I feed very little unless I am trying to encourage them to clone. Most times I feed monthly but the appearence of the anemone has a lot to do with it. And sometimes they will take the food only to it spit it out the next day, so it involves some observation after they have been feed.

    all 4 anemone seem to be making a good come back :) pics tomorrow

    They do look better. Getting them back to pre-split is going to take months, but the feedings look like they are working.

    My only concern is that they are still really reaching for the light. If you can improve the lighting by either moving the light closer to the tank and or replacing the bulbs I am sure that would really help as well.

    anemone split?

    If it takes the water conditions to get poor for an anemone to split, how do they split often in the ocean when the water parameters stay constant all the time?
