I recommend either covering the aiptasia with superglue or reef epoxy.
Ive heard too many people spread aiptasia by piercing its body.

 

You guys are talking about something that would do a better job then just simply vacuuming the cyano up this pump will also suck up like a wet dry and not release anything back past the diatom powder/skeletons . Unless you have ever used one then you can not understand how they work..
To prove a point once I took a 90 and cleaned it so well it went into a cycle . A guy bet me it could not happen a younger guy who did not understand these filters Now you have to make them work hard enough to create a cycle or a very sterile system.. Theses filters can almost pull the salt out of the water It siphons and it blast far far better then any damn turkey baster and it will remove what all you are now just blowing around like sweeping dirt under the carper for lack of a good vacuum cleaner . Thats a good comparison a Broom to a high dollar vacuum ..
