Well, 4 days after the first batch hatched and subsequently pegged out, the little darlings have spawned again! ;D That's probably going to be close to the time when we're ready for the fry with the new breeding tank... Wish they slowed up just a little.

    A tentative update.

They hatched again on Sunday evening, and we caught about 50 - 60 which we transferred to the new tank with about 4 inches of their original water. Tank sides are blacked out, heater is set to the same temp as the mother tank, rotifers are breeding and being fed to the fry at regular intervals, phytoplankton is culturing nicely and we have a good supply for rotifer feed.

We're now into day three, and we've lost about half a dozen of the young. They're getting more light every day, and are now having small water changes with mother tank water.

So, we've moved on another step at least. :)

Not me I've looked into it before but I've got a kid on the way. When my Aussie B&W's are older I'm going to give it a go though was looking at probably setting up a 12g nano as the holding tank for the babies
