I know right. I have been using them for 2 years so I get a little frustrated that people are still nervous about them lol. Its ieght. Good to be sceptical sometimes.

Totally, the only reason why i dont have them is cos i dont have the money. Its impressive how high you have them over the tanks, and they are still able to support your clams!

I like the colour balance they give off, your tank looks cool!

I have the par38 bulbs on my tank. Its not bad. My sps are growing fine and coloring up, but the stuff way at the bottom of my tank don't look too thrill.

Heat really is a problem when running the high output leds. You need to keep the base cool or it really cuts down the lifespan of the led in half. Most of the fans that are used are really very quiet. The 2 fans that are running on each of my 2 led pendants are quiet I believe I get more noise from the 2 mp40s than the fans.

id not want it if it didnt have fans....

why do fans make it a non-peaceful tank as you stated in a prior post? the fans on my fixtures i cant hear. if anything the sound of the water from my skimmer drowns anything and everything out.

i dont think LEDs need fans. they produce virtually no heat. maybe clamsondemand can tell us how hot his units get?

you can see 3 fans on the picture of the top of his fixture. the fans are not to cool the tank but to cool the heatsink that the leds are attached to.

I am sure that there are 3 fans under the 3 round vents at the top of the fixtures. We need clamsondemand to chime in and let us know for sure. My fixtures have 2 fans each.
