Who had the longest cycle here

3 days, the Ric did well on day three.
My LFS told me three days into the cycle I could add corals

 

Your cycle was 3 days? Did you use bacterial supplements?

 

Actually the bacterial additive junk is what crashed my last tank. I highly recommend against it.

Nope, the ric lived until my macro crashed the tank overnight, literally.
Dingo- They are better now, better owner and employees. They are pricey but QT as good as LADD or PIA.

 

I doubt macro crashed your tank.
And I could open up my septic tank and extract some bacteria and it would be the same as the junk they sell. There is no science behind their bacteria... Actually they don't even know what they are giving you. How could that ever lead to an effective bacterial population.

There are thousands of strains of nitrifying bacteriums; very few are suitable for SW aquaria.

 

The tank crashed when it was half a year old, and I had Caulpara or whatever that stuff is.
