I think the chiller being broken is what caused the powder brown to get stressed. The temp is fluctuating a lot. It goes from about 80 degrees at the warmest time to about 78.5 degrees at the coldest.

temp flux of 2 degrees is not bad. My tang was only thing to have Ick I would only treat it for now.

Haven't seen any spots on him today. I think he is getting better so I am not going to try to transport him. I don't have a QT set up anyway. I know I need one, I am going to get one ASAP.

Remember one thing, water in the ocean does not remain at a constant temperature. That few degrees of fluctuation is not a problem at all.

I thought water in the tropical areas remained rather constant, fluctuating only a few degrees between summer and winter.

I also moved some rocks, but I noticed the specks about an hour after moving the rocks.

I have a coral beauty that also appears to have these same white spots. it is still eating eagerly and wandering around during the day sucking algae off the glass. I am FO so I only have fake gravel, would I be able to get a cleaner shrimp and not have it die from lack of food? or should I just get the medications like greenex to deal with the ick? my damsels seem unaffected. thanks for the info, didnt want to make a new thread since this one already existed
