Ok, I think I am going to get the 3 bulb one with a timer. If I do that which combination of ATI bulbs should I use for the corals I am thinking about getting? I looked and was thinking 1 Aquablue special, 1 Blue plus and 1 true actinic. Does this sound like a good cobo of lights, if not what would work better. Thanks!:)

You should look into fishneedit t5ho 4 bulb fixtures. Quality and cost effective.

If your going with the 3 bulb (Imo the 4 is better) I would pass on the actinic and get another blue+ instead.

I would get a purple plus in place of the actinic. It will give you a wider spectrum and better color rendition for reds, pinks and purples. It also shoudl have about the same PAR as a Blue Plus. The Actinic as about 2.5 times less PAR than the other bulbs you are looking at. You will want stronger bulbs with the poor reflector that the fixture has.

I see you looking at those two but why not look at this one? it's a little more than both but gives height to the fixture with 4 bulbs, also it has a timer as well!

    2 Blue+, 1 Purple+ and 1 Aquablue Special. That is what I have.

I have the second light for 11 months now. They are a great buy. The bulbs are good, but you have to replace them after 9 11 months. Or you can buy better quality bulbs.

I noticed the first one has 3 bulbs. They do have the 4 bulb one with the timer, I think it is on the next page.

It is time for me to buy new bulbs, but I think I am just going to buy the 4 bulb with the timer. I figure I can get a new set up for just about the same price I would pay for new bulbs.
