    Do you guys think my old mag 7 would be enough to pump top off water from the basement to the first floor? The pump is rated for something like 12 feet but i'm not sure if that's just an inflated number.

    It probably should be close if you are not in a hurry. At 10+/- feet it won't have much flow.

    I just noticed that RLSS is coming out with a new, smaller pump called the DC3000. It should be even less expensive the the DC5000 ($2000) and pumps a max of 800 gph.
