I am transferring from a 55gal to a 58gal/sump with a canopy and am wondering if a 250W metal halide with 2x 96W Compact Fluorescent Bulb Actinic Blue's would be o.k., or is that's to much. I don't want to get in to a chiller situation.

Or should I go with T5HO systems?
    2x 39W T5 High Output Daylight 12000K
    2x 39W T5 High OutputActinic Blue
If the T5HO, would one fixture be enough?

    I currently have LPS corals.

I would not say the MH and PC combination above is to much
    but
If you are concerned about not needing a chiller then T5s is an option
but you will need 2 fixtures (4 tubes) IMO for LPS corals

I ended up getting a good deal on a Nova Extreme T5HO fixture, but it's just one for now.
I'll buy another fixture to go with it pretty soon. Thanks for you inputs.
