    Hi there,

I have a RapidLED DIY setup on my tank (36RB / 36CW) and I just ordered the supplies to add supplemental UV, Red, and Cyan

I am in the process of shopping for a reef controller and think I have it narrowed down to an Neptune Apex, and a ReefKeeper Elite

Is either of these controllers more compatible with your LED's or easier to work with in your experience?

My display lighting is all run on Dimmable 48P drivers, and I am currently using your controller but would like to switch my whole tank onto a reef controller.

    Thanks for any advice

Yeah thats which way I'm leaning right now. In another thread it was pointed out that the Vortech's are only controllable by the Apex ... And since I've got two MP40's ... Apex seems like the way to go. Slightly more expensive ... but thats never stood in my way before of getting the right piece of equipment, hence the vortechs that need the controlling lol

    Thanks N00ZE

You need a VXM module to control for vortechs. Just FYI when going to purchase your controller.

Go figure ... it seems everything you want is extra

A extra module so that you can run salinity probes ... extra module to run your pumps.

Is there a module I'm going to need to run my DIY LED's?

    Thanks

I have a Full Apex controller with the WXM Module, I can fully control my lights and my MP10s.

    Best purchase ever!

There is on a Reef Keeper. I don't know about the Apex off hand.

If you are going to get an Apex get the FULL version, it has the VDM built in, this will save in space and extra cables running around.

Ok great, I intended to get the full version. The VDM module talks specifically about AI lights ... is it compatible with DIY Cree's and Meanwell drivers?
