Where to Find Egg Crate? Found Acrylic Seller

Hello, I was wondering where everyone finds their egg crate they use in so many different applications. I found this wonderful site to buy Acrylic. However, I can't find the egg crate stuff.

Egg Crate is actually what they use for the florcent lighting fixtures people hang in their basements and in most offices. So head to the lighting section at HomeDepot or Lowes. It took me about 6 months to figure that one out.

 

I was like jtReef...Where can you get eggcrate????????????????None of the pet shops carry it(hint to pet shops)>finally found out about Lowe's and Home depot in the lighting section!!!!

 

Lighting section in any major hardware store (chain).

Make sure you get either the white or black. Do not get the silver or gold versions as they are painted, and the paint tends to chip off.

 

I've seen it at ace! Its like a white grid? spaced about .5 in apart? right anyways this is what I saw.

 

Just make sure you get the white stuff on the clear. As for acrylic my local Lowes store sells sheets of acrylic.

you can buy acrylic and egg crate at lowes. Its not in the lighting department, its in the building department. If you go to the lighting ask them for egg crate, they'll look at you silly.

 

ask somebody where the ceiling tiles are for drop ceilings like used in basements, thats where it will be.

 

In the hardware store they call them light diffusers.
