How have you kept your blue linkia alive for so long DSC? I had a red that lasted about 9 months then quickly withered... no changes in my tank.

Thank you sir! I'm excited. Hopefully he won't go in the rocks and never be seen again like some other cool shrimp I have. lol

They are cool. FYI, Harlequin are a lot cheaper! :) (but Bongo's just eat Asterina I read)

I actually hate that counter top. I never can tell when it is wet. haha

Funny you should ask. Lisa snapped a pic of him on the substrate before I came home then she said he went into the rocks. I haven't seen the guy. :(
I am hoping that it gets comfortable and starts making the rounds. I really don't want this to be ANOTHER expensive invert that never comes out of the rocks.

Funny you mention this.. I have a green birdnest with bare spots like that and haven't been able to figure it out. Today in water change I saw an asternia but it was just cruising the rocks. I'll take a closer look. I sucked the starfish out during vacuum.

Honestly I've done nothing special. It's definitely grown in size and is always out and about grazing. I over feed my tank so I'm sure that has something to do with it. He's still as bright as ever. When he's out its the first thing people see when they look at my tank. I'm very adamant in keeping my params stable too. Dosing times never change

    Yes! See below.

    Confirmed sighting!
Thank you guys. Last night I had my first sighting of the bongo shrimp and he was eating my asterina starfish!

I enjoyed this so much I stayed up an extra 20 minutes to watch the feast. Cheers!
