    Luckily mines less than 24" deep. There are some great articles about growing SPS with t5 bulbs. So it's really Size vs power. I might start out with t5s and add MH later on, then I'd have strong lighting for corals on the bottom of the tank, and in the water column.

    PS: I fever did get what FOWLR meant. Is it some thing like "fish only with live rock"?

    Wow, so that'll keep the water level stable. Thats useful. When I had fresh, id loose about an inch of water every 2 weeks, and I remember how many top offs I had to do myself.

    or be like me. I top off half of a gallon every 2 days because I have MH.

    Yep, stable water level makes the skimmer run more efficiently too. The saltwater evaporates even faster depending on lights, skimmer, sumps and such.
